The House, Us and Dodger
 Ricefield House is an alternative to a traditional guest house, hotel, lodge or bed and
breakfast accommodation. We offer a personal service to our guests in comfortable
surroundings.
Dodger has his own garden for those who prefer it that way.
Having traveled extensively in Asia including Bangkok, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur,
Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai and after many years in the restaurant and
tourism business, we, Don (UK), Ken (Hong Kong) and Dodger the Friendly Labrador
have opened this country house.
The retreat has been designed with peace and quiet as a priority. Laze in a
hammock in the garden. Watch the sunset over the mountains with your G and
T. No TV in the bedrooms for neighbours to disturb you
(we do have one TV- in the common room). Ambiental music is Classical,
Blues, Jazz, some old American Popular, Piaf, Peggy Lee, Billie Holiday etc., etc.
In line with the trend in many other lodges, guesthouses, hotels
and bed and breakfast accommodations, we are a non-smoking establishment
but we do have smoking areas outside in the courtyard or garden where you
can enjoy your cigarette, cigar or pipe.
If you are coming from Beijing, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong or
Shanghai, we can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai and English.
Children of 10 years and older are welcome provided
the entire house is reserved for a minimum of 3 nights.
